Its almost Fall and that means it is time for pumpkin spice everything, football, a new school year, and the beginning of seeing Christmas decor in every store! Seriously, Hobby Lobby had the Christmas section in full swing by the 4th of July! But it also means it is time for updated family photos. This gets to be a crazy busy time for us photographers but I am thrilled to be able to provide families with lasting memories! This year the Pruitt Family got a head start on their family photos. We did their session back in March but I am just now getting around to blogging it. I love every bit about how these family portraits came out because they so accurately capture the personality of this family.
I’ve known the Pruitts for almost 15 years now and I’ve seen them grow from college kids just having fun, to falling in love and creating one of my favorite families of all time. It has been so fun to watch them mature into the absolute best parents to their two beautiful daughters, Jordan and Jayden. Jordan just started first grade. She is a talented gymnast and she loves to sing. She got that naturally as Joe and Jamie have always rocked karaoke night. Jayden is starting kindergarten this year. She is a little spitfire and has never met a stranger. I have no doubts that she will take kindergarten by storm and come out with a class full of new best friends.
So enough talking…let’s see their beautiful family!
The Pruitts have recently built a gorgeous new home and have a wall just begging for these portraits to be displayed. So Jamie and I sat down and designed one of my favorite wall groupings yet. We went with framed prints instead of canvas because she preferred the classic and clean look of the white frames and white mats. I’ve got to say that I 100% agree! This is just the (low quality) mock up we created while designing. I can’t wait to get an actual photo of them on her walls. I’ll be updating here so that you can all see how stunning they are in real life!
Family portrait sessions are so much more than just a pic to post on your social media or to send out on a Christmas card, although those are fun too. But imagine getting to walk past these beautiful portraits every day as you go in to wake up your sleeping beauties for school and every night as you tuck them into bed. So much better than an empty wall or store bought decor that has no sentimental value to your family. Instead, your heart swells with pride each time you see the beautiful life you’ve created as a family.
