Oh sweet Melissa! She couldn’t have been any more perfect in her first (but surely not the last) modeling gig for this Cypress newborn photographer. Melissa’s mother answered a model call I put out. I needed a baby girl to show off some new props that I made. This was a special project for me because my work is featured in Clickin’ Moms magazine where I teach other crafty newborn photographers to create some of their own props. You can read the article here if you’re interested. What an honor to be featured!
I have had a long string of boys in my studio lately so having a little girl was so much fun for me. Since I have two boys myself, I get to explore my girly side a little more when sweet baby girls visit my Cypress newborn photography studio. I made the blue pants and tie back as well as the teal curly layer and peach wrap and tie back. Even though I can DIY some of the props, I still love to support the talented vendors who make gorgeous props! The floral pants and matching headband is from the talented So Tweet Designs. She also made the cute headband Melissa is wearing in the bucket prop. The lace bonnet and skirt is from The Tree Top Shoppe. Those are two of my very favorite shops to buy from because their creativity is endless and their designs never disappoint!
Melissa is the youngest of three and is such a welcomed addition to her family. I had to give you a close up of her trademark swirl cowlick – sooo cute! Her grandmother joined us for this session and couldn’t help but ooh and ahhh over this precious new life. I know she was in heaven loving on her for the few short weeks she visited.
