Ava | Cypress Newborn Photographer

Ava – sweet, precious, lovely, Ava! She was a dream come true for this Cypress newborn photographer. She came to see me at 19 days new and totally rocked her session.

Her parents, Thu and Hai, did their due diligence in researching photographers before contacting me and I am honored that they chose me to document this huge milestone for their family. When choosing a newborn photographer, it is important to keep in mind what you want to do with the images after the session is over. Do you want files that will sit on your computer for years before you get around to printing them? Do you want finished art to hang on the walls so that your kids will grow up admiring the love and care you took to celebrate their milestones? Are you a busy mom just trying to keep your kids fed and happy with no time to sit and design their albums or fill out their baby books? Your answers to those questions will determine who the right photographer is for you.

Ava’s parents chose me to create artwork to hang on the walls of their beautiful new home. They trusted me to create something beautiful and timeless and I loved every second of bringing their dreams to life. They invested in a custom canvas wall collection of their favorite four portraits. It is stunning! But they couldn’t stop with just four portraits, so of course I was happy to design a luxurious leather bound album to show off all of the portraits from her session. They also chose a handful of table displays for the home and office. This little girl is going to grow up knowing how much her family adores her as she sees her portraits proudly displayed in her home.

Ready to see some more of beautiful Ava? Her mama asked for pink and we all fell in love with the pink and lace combo. So dainty and delicate. Just perfect for such a pretty baby.

Then we moved on to some of my new favorite props. My dad built the rustic branch bed from trees cleared from his land. And the little drawer bed was an antique store treasure. I just love finding unique props to make your portraits truly one of a kind!

This cream lace was another antique store find that complimented Ava’s creamy skin perfectly! I love how we got to see her big, bright eyes since she was wide awake for this set.

After each session, my clients get to come back in for a gallery reveal where we watch a video of all of their images set to music. It is always a fun and emotional time as we fall in love with this new life all over again. But this time was even more special. New mamas often get teary-eyed during this reveal. But this time, even the proud daddy couldn’t hold back his immense joy in seeing his daughter’s portraits for the first time. There is no greater compliment than seeing this raw emotion. I could live on moments like this! Thu described her experience in three short but powerful words “Amazing! Totally amazing!” She followed up with a bit of advice for other parents contemplating newborn portraits for their new bundle of joy – “Just do it!”

So…what are you waiting for? Contact me right now to schedule your consultation. It is never too early to begin planning the portrait experience that will speak to your soul. I would love to create art for your home that will bring back those teary eyed memories every time you pass by them.
